Lensatic compasses are the type of compass typically used by the US Military.  Specifically, the US Military uses lensatic compasses from Cammenga, which you will see below.  We also have other options that utilize a liquid-filled capsules.  Dry capsules can never develop bubbles, but liquid-filled capsules are much more steady, and easier to read.
